what you'll need: AsteraApp (iOS/Android) over Bluetooth, direct built-in Bluetooth on newer units, or via AsteraBox/ART7 for older units
1Update the AsteraApp itself first from the App Store / Play Store, the app carries the firmware payload.
2Power on the tubes. Put each into Bluetooth pairing: hold the power button until it flashes blue (can be done in the case). For older setups, pair the AsteraBox/ART7 instead (Bluetooth PIN is on the sticker on the back of the ART7).
3In the AsteraApp, tap 'Pair with Lights' under the AsteraBox/Bluetooth status bar (may need to run it more than once to catch all fixtures).
4The app flags fixtures with an available firmware update. Select them and start the update.
5Keep the phone within range and the fixtures powered (AC or well-charged battery) until the update finishes and the fixtures restart.
GotchaUpdate the app BEFORE the fixtures, the firmware ships inside the app.
WarningKeep fixtures on AC or a well-charged battery; do not power off mid-update.
GotchaOlder fixtures pair via AsteraBox/ART7 (PIN on ART7 back sticker); newer fixtures have built-in Bluetooth.
