what you'll need: W-DMX Configurator App (iOS/Android) via Bluetooth, firmware downloads automatically within the app. Secondary: firmware also listed on https://my.wirelessdmx.com (portal timed out, login likely required).
1Download 'W-DMX Configurator' app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
2Power on the BlackBox G6 and ensure Bluetooth is enabled on the unit (MODE LED flashes blue every 2 seconds when BT is on; toggle with 2x rapid button press + hold 3s).
3Open the app and tap 'Connect', a list of nearby devices appears sorted by approximate distance.
4Optionally tap 'Identify Device' to flash LEDs on the unit and confirm which one you are connecting to.
5Tap 'Connect Device' to pair.
6In the main screen, tap 'Firmware', the app automatically checks for and installs the latest firmware.
7Wait for the update to complete before powering off.
GotchaG6 does NOT use the legacy W-DMX Manager or USB dongle update path, that method is for G4/G5 only.
WarningThe published firmware files on the legacy support page (2.10.816, 3.2.50, 3.2.30) are for G4 and G5 models, do not apply to G6.
GotchaNo specific G6 firmware version numbers are published publicly on the website, version is only visible inside the Configurator app once connected to a device.
GotchaThe my.wirelessdmx.com portal (where firmware is also listed per manual) timed out during research, may require a registered account/login.
GotchaBluetooth must be enabled on the unit before the app can connect, check for blue MODE LED flashes.
GotchaCRMX upgrade is a paid software license installed via the app, separate from firmware updates.
