Factory reset enabled via holding BOOT button for 10 seconds until purple, then short press. This is the last version with confirmed .uf2 file in the public Google Drive folder.

steps

what you'll need: USB UF2 bootloader (drag-and-drop to RPI-RP2 mass storage device)
1Download and unzip the latest firmware .uf2 file from the official Google Drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1X_QW4aECtIQzD6QfDS7VVZu9tz8psGlp
2Hold down the BOOT button (button 1, status LED) on the Cerise unit.
3While holding the button, connect the Cerise to a computer via USB Type-C cable.
4A new mass storage device named RPI-RP2 will appear on the computer.
5Drag and drop the CeriseFirmwareXXX.uf2 file onto the RPI-RP2 device.
6Wait for the file transfer to complete.
7Power cycle (unplug and replug) the Cerise unit.
8If updating from a version before 1.8.x to 1.8.x or later: perform a factory reset by holding the BOOT button for 10 seconds until the LED turns purple, then press once briefly. The default IP will change from 169.254.xx.1 to 10.206.xx.1.
GotchaThe 1U model lacks Ethernet; it connects via USB CDC-NCM only. The 2U Pro and 4U Pro support both USB and Ethernet (including PoE).
GotchaAll three models (1U, 2U Pro, 4U Pro) use the same firmware file and update procedure.
GotchaUpdating from pre-1.8.x to 1.8.x changes the default USB IP from 169.254.xx.1 to 10.206.xx.1, update any app/console configurations accordingly.
GotchaThe Cerise also contains separate TimoTwo CRMX module firmware (per universe). These are updated separately via Bluetooth using the CRMX Toolbox app. Bluetooth is disabled by default; enable with 1 short press + 1 long press (3 sec) on the link button.
GotchaThe changelog page (help.ftsled.fr/cerise-changelog) currently returns HTTP 302 redirect to the user guide; the versioned changelog is not directly web-accessible as of extraction date.
GotchaGoogle Drive firmware folder (confirmed): cerise-fw-1.6.4.uf2 (1.9 MB, 2024-08-14) and cerise-fw-1.6.4.zip (805 KB, 2024-10-31) are the most recent files observed in the public Drive folder. Version 2.3.6 referenced in the user guide but no corresponding .uf2 found in the indexed Drive folder.
GotchaAvoid CRMX linking key patterns with four or more consecutive zeros on firmware versions older than 1.1.1.0.
GotchaRecommended browser for WebUI: Google Chrome. Safari and Brave have known compatibility issues.
GotchaAuto MDI-X is NOT supported on the Ethernet port.
GotchaRDM support was listed as a working beta targeting Q2 2025 per the Odoo product page; not confirmed shipped.
