steps
what you'll need: UpdaterAtor (network/RDM) or USB drive direct to fixture, then push to wired DMX chain
1Option A - UpdaterAtor: Connect fixtures via ETC Gateway or Gadget. Launch UpdaterAtor on Windows. Select fos/4 fixture(s) and update.
2Option B - USB single fixture: Download firmware from etcconnect.com. Copy to USB drive. Insert into rear USB port. Press Menu > Local Settings > USB > Update Firmware. Select file, confirm. Do not touch UI until complete.
3Option C - Push to chain: After updating one fixture via USB, disconnect DMX In. Press Menu > Local Settings > Push Firmware. Confirm. Downstream fixtures display 'Firmware RX x%'.
GotchaCRITICAL: v1.4.1 is INCOMPATIBLE with original (non-CPU2) medium fos/4 Fresnel (FD7/FL7) and all original (non-CPU2) Panel fixtures. Installing v1.4.1 on non-CPU2 hardware causes unexpected behavior.
GotchaTo identify CPU2 hardware: serial number label includes text 'CPU2'. Panel CPU2 part numbers end in Ax3x/Ax4x/Ax5x; original end in Ax0x/Ax1x/Ax2x.
GotchaOriginal (non-CPU2) medium Fresnel and original Panels should remain on v1.4.0 or earlier.
GotchaFixtures with new LPCB array processor cannot downgrade below v1.4.1.
WarningDo not touch UI during firmware update or update will fail.
GotchaNFC version display via Set Light app will show old version until another config parameter is changed after update.
