what you'll need: UpdaterAtor (network/RDM via ETC Gateway or Gadget) or USB drive direct to fixture
1Option A - UpdaterAtor: Connect fixtures to Ethernet/DMX network with an ETC Gateway. Launch UpdaterAtor on Windows PC. UpdaterAtor detects online fixtures and shows available updates. Select fixture(s) and click Update or Update All.
2Option B - USB single fixture: Download firmware file from etcconnect.com. Copy to USB drive. Insert USB into rear port of fixture. Press Menu, navigate Local Settings > USB > Update Firmware. Select file and confirm. Do not touch UI until complete.
3Option C - Push to chain: After updating one fixture via USB, disconnect DMX In from that fixture. Press Menu > Local Settings > Push Firmware. Confirm with green encoder. Firmware propagates to all wired DMX downstream fixtures.
GotchaFixtures with new LPCB array processor CANNOT downgrade below v1.4.1. Check Diagnostics > About Fixture > Array: ends in LPCA = original, LPCB = new processor.
WarningDo not interact with fixture UI during a firmware update or the update will fail.
WarningStop any sequence playback before updating firmware or the update will fail.
GotchaFixture must NOT be receiving DMX/RDM before using Push Firmware to chain.
