v1.06.04: New Ventilation OFF mode for KOSMOS 400 (cold unit runs ~5 min before entering Protection Mode at 60% max output; preheated unit ~2 min); Police Effect changes (Saturation parameter removed from local and DMX); previous v1.06.03 added 9 built-in lighting effects (fire, TV, etc.) accessible via native menu and Goya app
steps
what you'll need: USB stick (.hex file to root); boot with upper encoder held
1Copy the .hex firmware file to the root of a USB flash drive. Never inside a folder.
2With KOSMOS switched OFF, insert USB flash drive into USB connector on back of fixture.
3Press and hold the upper encoder (the wheel that controls Dimmer and Zoom).
4While holding upper encoder, switch KOSMOS from Off to On.
5Once the display shows alphanumeric codes, release the upper encoder.
6KOSMOS updates automatically, wait for completion, then remove USB drive.
7NOTE: If the normal procedure fails, rename the .hex file to IMAGE.hex and retry.
GotchaKOSMOS 200 and KOSMOS 400 share the same firmware (same support section, same download). The What's New doc specifically references KOSMOS 400 Ventilation OFF mode behavior, but the firmware package covers both.
