steps
what you'll need: USB stick (Mini-USB male to USB-A female cable); two-step: driver first, then firmware. Firmware file split by serial number.
1STEP 1, DRIVER UPDATE: Copy the .drv driver file to root of USB stick (never inside a folder). Do NOT rename the file.
2Ensure CYC panel is in CCT mode.
3Connect USB stick via Mini-USB male to USB-A female cable.
4With CYC turned OFF, simultaneously press the button and turn ON the unit.
5Wait for 'DRIVER UPDATE DONE!' on display, then power cycle.
6STEP 2, FIRMWARE UPDATE: Copy the correct .frm firmware file to root of USB stick. Select correct file for your CYC model number (CYC 3, 4, 5, or 6) AND serial number range (before/after SN 200).
7Turn CYC ON in CCT mode.
8Navigate: Settings > ABOUT > FIRMWARE UPDATE, then press to start.
9Connect USB stick when prompted by the display.
10Wait for 'UPDATE DONE!', panel reboots automatically.
WarningSerial number split at 200: CYC 3/4/5/6 units before SN 200 use V02.08 package; units after SN 200 use V52.08 package. Using wrong file for your serial number range may fail or cause issues.
GotchaCYC comes in 4 sizes (CYC 3, CYC 4, CYC 5, CYC 6), all use the same firmware file (the serial-number-split files are shared across all CYC sizes on the support page).
Gotchav02.07 and v02.06 full packages still available as 'Previous firmwares' on support page for rollback.
GotchaDriver update MUST precede firmware update.
WarningNever rename firmware or driver files.
